Yoga Teacher Training - Aims and Objectives..
The primary
objective of this course is to provide a basic understanding of Yoga and its
related practices in an easy and systematic way including practical as well as
theory.
It
aims at initiating the beginner on the traditional, right track of learning so
that one may have personal revelations through Yoga, which will help in creating
a world of peace, happiness and harmony.
Schedule
and duration:
This course
is conducted throughout the year and usually starts on the 1st of every month.
Duration of this course is six- weeks.
Eligibility:
Any one who
is interested in learning ancient Indian system of Yoga and its applied science,
with ability to follow the instructions and lectures in English is welcomed. It
is available for all, irrespective of caste and creed. Individual suffering from
any ailment is advised in his/her own interest not to seek admission for this
course.
The
candidate's age should not be less than 18 years at the time of admission, Yoga
Aspirants above the age of 50 may be considered by the executive committee but a
fitness certificate
is must.
Evaluation:
There will be a process of
assessment, written as well as practical. Besides it, behavior of the student
would also be considered in assessing his/her progress. At least 95% attendance
of the student in all the classes is must to be included in the process of
evaluation. Those students, who have shown satisfactory progress throughout the
course, will only be awarded certificate.

Teacher Training
Morning session
1st session (05:30 am
to 06:30 am)
Pranayama and chanting
2nd session (07:00 am to 08:30 am)
Teaching of yoga asana
Break-fast
(At 09:00 am)
3rd session (10:30 am to 11:30 am)
Lecture on Yoga philosophy
Break
In between morning and afternoon session students
can have their break-fast and lunch and also can go out side rishikesh market,
ashrams, ganga beach or forests for a walk.
Lunch (At 1:00 pm)
Afternoon session
(04:30 pm to 05:15 pm)
Lecture on Human anatomy and physiology
Break
In between afternoon and evening session students
can have tea, coffee or drinks or can go out.
Evening session
1st session (05:30 pm to 07:00 pm)
Teaching of asana
2nd session (07:15 pm to 08:00 pm
Teaching of Pranayama and meditation
Dinner
(At 08:30 pm)
(Sessions will include the main content of course
as yoga asana, pranayama, meditation, mudra, bandha and mantra-chanting.)
